We started in Magna Plaza 4 years ago, as a small taqueria in a food hall in Dam Square.  In the beginning it was hard, guests didn’t understand the cuisine. They didn’t really know what it was, people wanted cutlery and were wondering what the blue pancake was. Soon we received extremely good comments from the Mexicans visiting us and that created a snowball effect: ”best Mexican food we have had outside of Mexico”  We stayed true to the Mexican cuisine and gave us more motivation to keep going to let others know more about the cuisine. And over time we became the #1 Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam and have been in that position the last few years. We still go back every year to Mexico to the different regions to keep improving our skills and collaborations. We try to keep improving and stay on our mission to let people know Mexican cuisine is the best cuisine in the world.Since that time when we started from a small taqueria in a mall, we have grown to our own restaurant in Leidseplein and then even expanded to create a Latin cocktail bar, De Margaritabar, just next door to us! We are excited for you to experience how we felt in Mexico.
